Mercure's Breakfast

In the next morning, we woke up early. This was because husband said we'd better arrived our next destination at around 9.30 am, before the crowds was formed.

Before departure, we went to the downstairs restaurant to take a buffet breakfast. Since the breakfast was included in our room charges, we thought it would be nothing too special.

When we saw this setting, our glasses fell all over the place...for the good ambiances, quality foods and warm services that we didn't have anticipated.

My favourite, warm and freshly bake baguette. It tastes fantastic with butter and fruit jam. Oh yes, their fruit jam is very very good, definitely not something artificial. I miss the bite so much.

In HK, the only place I can find some relatively good baguette is from Delifrance, but still, it's not fully compatible with the baguette I ate in their origin countries.

Those buns are good too. Wish I have a bigger tummy to taste each and every one of them.

The boys favourite, all sorts of cereals for their selection.

Also, all sorts of meat to make your DIY sandwich. Although I'm not fancy about those processed meat, I ate a bit too. Well, that little bit is probably my total consumption of similar processed meat in a year. Yes, some of them do taste very good. No wonder Germans are proud of their sausages.

Out of all those meat, I like the smoked fish.

The salad bar.

Those foods are enough to keep all of us busy.

Besides cereals, the above combination are the boys' favourite too.

This waffle too. Every piece is guaranteed a fresh one, cause we have to make it by ourselves. It's so much fun for the boys to pour the flour mix into the pan, close the lid, and eagerly wait for the waffle to get cooked. Also, they enjoyed garnish the waffle with a little bit of syrup and almond nut flakes. Not something they can do in their normal days.

Husband was very busy with the foods too.

While they were still busy, I took some time to tour the restaurant for a while. Since not many people was in the restaurant at that early morning time, I felt very free to snap photos.

Talking about good ambiance, each cubicle was decorated in their unique ways, reserved the guests with enough space and privacy.

When Vincent saw this gun, he wanted to know if it is real? I'm not sure, but I think it's a real one.

The bistro bar.

Such a nice breakfast it was, automatically had lightened up our day.

Here, I must praise husband for this very good deal he got. He was offered a package for €200 net (2 nights + buffet breakfast for 4). Consider very cheap from a 4 star business hotel.

In HK, this quality buffet breakfast can easily cost us HKD200 or above. So, it was like 50-60% of the money has been contributed back to our tummy. Super worth it.
