Office Relocation

Many things happened on me for the past 3 weeks. As usual, I just want to remember the good things and let the bad things faded off from my memory.

The biggest changes would be the relocation of my office to a new place, a totally new place, about 3 weeks ago. Overall speaking, this changes do more good than bad to me, which once again, make me believe that things happen for a reason.

3 weeks since then, I had to admit that I feel really weird to stay where I am right now. It's not that easy to totally detach myself from the old environment and its community which I have been getting so used to for the past 7 years. Anyway, it's time to say good bye to the past and move on now.

Our office had been officially moved to the Science Park on 13-Nov-2008. The location is quite remote to many of my colleagues but not to me. It's only 10 min driving distance from my home. I like the place very much because of its superb environment. In fact, I have been dreaming to work here since long ago. Now, my dream had come true. Weird !

The office is facing the sea at one side. Lucky the managers, they can enjoy this superb sea view anytime they want.

Also, when they push their door, they can access to this super spacious balcony. Among colleagues, we gossip if we can have our lunch picnic here in the winter time, facing the natural sea view at one side, and the cyber-feel buildings at the other side. We still don't know if this is going to happen? We'll see...

KS and I took the kids to this place on last Sunday evening. When the boys see this egg-shape building, they asked me if it is some sort of spaceship? Frankly speaking, I haven't figured out what it is myself too.

This open air restaurant is located just opposite our office. We were dining here on last Sunday night. To my surprise, the fountains set there are not ordinary fountains, but it can turn itself to be a musical fountains. The boys were so thrilled to see it that they ran too near to it, and got themselves wet a little bit. This place is indeed a very pleasant place to spend a relax evening with family or friends.

Besides the open air restaurants, there are also several indoor restaurants as well. Due to the transportation inconvenience, the people who work here have not much choices but to dine in the Science Park. That cause the place too crowded during lunch hour.

That is actually my working cubicle at the old office. Anyway, the new working cubicle is basically same like this one since we just move it to the new office. Just that the desk is more cleaned up now, as shown in the above picture.

Oh yes, my plant. Look how big it grows now. The lovely flowers never stop blossom ever since the first flower show up about 2 months ago.

I love it. It's just like my baby, cause I've planted it from a single leaf.

I always find it very exciting when there is any change to the office especially when it is for the better. You get a nearer location, a clean desk and on top of that, a great sea view each time you are at work. That sounds great!!!

yeah lo...at times, I still feel that the whole thing is too good to be real, like a bubble, don't know when it will burst?

Well sometimes certain things are not within our control. If it happens, it will happen and we can only accept it. For the time being, just enjoy whatever is in front of our eyes. Agree?

About my plant, I don't know what is the name? But it's a very common plant that ppl normally put in their office. I think you should be able to find one in the supermarket, maybe?
