Hollywood Hotel

Frankly speaking, husband and I are more interested in putting a night in Disney's hotel than playing in the theme park itself. This is because hotel = relaxation, and theme park = exhaustion.

Although Hollywood Hotel is our second choice, we were happy to get a room with 50% discounts anyway.

When I first see the hotel, I just felt that it looks like my customer's factory in China region. Perhaps for those who use to visit factory in China would feel the same too?

The check-in time is rather late, at 3pm. And the check-out time is rather early, at 11am. Like the deal or not, you just got to take it or leave it.

Despite of its factory outlook, the inside is absolutely a hotel's setting.

The backdrop of the reception desk is very attractive.

The selling point of Disney's hotel is of course, one will get to see Walt Disney's creations and their products everywhere in the hotel.

Just when the boys were nowhere to be seen within my eyes sight, I found them here not long later.

Though I was pointing my camera at them, none of the kids paid attention to me. Gosh, they were like hypnotized. BTW, that 2 little girls are so kawaii, from Japan, for sure.

Mickey's logo can been seen everywhere in the hotel area.

The lounge.

It's very delighted to see the host welcoming us.

The elevator's button. Cute.

Our potter. Isn't that he got that kind of flexible-look? At one time, he looks like Tarzan. At the other time, he looks like a potter.

Yes, finally we've got to see the room. Although there isn't many surprises, at least there isn't any disappointment.

From our hotel room's window, Disneyland Hotel can be seen. It's our 1st choice, too bad all of the rooms had been fully booked.

The only pictures in the room. Its shining metallic surface is very classy. I like it.

Some cute little things in the toilet.

Weather was still a bit cold that day, but they insisted to go swimming.

He is truly a happy-go-lucky kid, won't ever worry about the sky-is-gonna-to-fall-down stuff.

We got to force them to leave the water when their lips turn purple color.

The next morning, we woke up early and went downstair to take a buffet breakfast in this restaurant.

It's called Club Mickey. Too bad there isn't any cartoon characters will show up here to entertain the guests.

Inside the restaurant, Mickey's logo can be seen from the floor to the ceiling.

Walls are decorated with cartoon's characters as well. Kids just love it.

The dining area is spacious enough, a great environment to enjoy foods in a leisure mode.

The waffle is every kid's first choice. In fact, it's my first choice too. It's so cute, how could we not to like it?

The food's quality is better than my expectation. Everything we ate were fresh, and most importantly, the foods were refilled very frequently. I could feel the heat of just-cooked.

Generally speaking, we had had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Thanks for the friendly host.

Son is rather "creative", he likes to put his head in other people's hat.

And the little brother who likes to follow his big brother's foot step.

After breakfast, we took a walk in the garden of Hollywood Hotel.

There is nothing too fascinated about the garden except some antique cars were in displayed.

This one is cute, it suits my size too. I like it.

But damn, the boys made it looks so much like a toy car now. Immediately, my interest in it was cut into half.

Although the outlook of this hotel is quite factory-like at first glance, actually it's not, when I look things into detail.

Well, I'm sure there is none of the factory in China got this kind of lining on the wall.

Same here.

Before sons would lost this coin that we'd exchanged it with a 10 dollars coin, I quickly snapped a photo as back up. That's our souvenior for staying a night in Hollywood Hoel.

Adventure Land

Adventure Land is son's favourite place in Disneyland.

Indeed the first place they wanted to go was straight to Adventure Land and take the jungle river cruise. They can take the ride again and again yet still feel excited over the things they would see along the river.

I don't know about little girls, do they like Adventure Land as much as little boys do?

I wanted to understand why the boys like it so such, so I've tried to see things from their eyes, and perceive the things from their level of understanding too. Amazingly, I felt very different when I put my feet into their shoes.

The trick is simple, just try to see all those as real, and you will feel the magic too. I think that is the reason why children enjoy it so much, for they able to make-believe the things they see.

Adventure into the lost Kingdom of Myth.

This suddenly emerged mouth-widely-open hippo had scared off a small boy in our boat. The dad got to pacify him so hard then. Poor dad.

Yes, I would say all these are enough to impress the little children, even adults too.

The next destination was to cross the river to Tarzan Tree House. It's the boys' dream house.

While waiting for the raft to come...

Isn't that waiting is the most boring action in this world?

Hello Tarzan, Hello Jane, here we come...

To my surprise, William remember this suspension bridge very well. He said the last time he came, he was so scared to walk across this bridge by himself, that he needed me to carry him over. But now he is not scared anymore...truly a big boy now.

Anyway, he said he is still a bit scared of this cheetah who had killed Tarzan's daddy & mommy.

I love you boys. I will never let any cheetah to hurt you.
*

One thing I don't get it...why don't they hire someone to dress in Tarzan & Jane to greet and take photos with the visitors who walked up to the tree house? Can't they find any man who is as masculine as Tarzan?

Well then, here is a good candidate for Tarzan (aahhemm..) Just that he needs to work out a bit to build up the 6-pieces-muscle again.

BTW, he had kept this shirt in the closet for more than 4 or 5 years. I've never seen him wear it all these years. When he finally put it up this time, I could only gave him a thumb-up sign.

Yeah, I would love to have a house that is built on tree top too.

Everything that was put here is not as simple and messy as they appear to be. Instead, they were designed and fabricated in very fine and detail manner. The creator has done a marvelous job here.

I always love those chemistry apparatus, love their unique shapes and accuracy as well.

Beautiful kitchen wares...

He managed to climb up the rope till half way. Not bad, son. You beat me in this.

Waiting for the raft to approach the dock. Really, waiting is the most boring action to do.

Back to the mainland, ok, we gave them 10 min to chase after the bubbles again.

Got free toys for them to play some more...good. But we got to drag them to leave for lunch.

We had had our late lunch in this restaurant located in Adventure Land. It's called River View Cafe. Looking in there from outside, the ambiance looks superb.

Indeed, the dining place is very cool and breezy. Though we were not that hungry, the good environment had aroused our appetite to eat. We ordered some fried rice and friend noodle.
*
When the noddles came, we saw some beef slices wasn't cooked well. So husband simply took it away and put it in another small plate. Then, we continued to eat everything till finish. When the waiter handed us the bill, husband pointed to those beef and simply commented that they shouldn't have to be that raw. The waiter apologized before he walked away. We then waited for the change.
*
A few minutes later, the waiter came back with another man in formal attire. Apparently he is the manager of this restaurant. The manager apologized for the raw beef, and he really meant it. He, then cancelled the order for that dish of noodle and refunded the money for us. Wow, we were impressed with the excellent service here. Sure, we left the place with a grin from ear to ear.

On the way back to the hotel for checking in, we bumped into this pirate. The boys usually have very clear definition about 'good people' & 'bad people'. However, they don't think pirate is 'bad people'. Well, just don't grow up to be a pirate, ok.

Next day's lunch was taken in River View Cafe again. Well, we just love the ambiance over there. How to describe it? Ok, this is the place when I sit down, I feel like I don't want to leave.
*
Also, the price of the foods is very compatible with the foods sold in food court. Foods quality is better too, for they were cook on order, not ready made.
*
Another important factor that attracted us to come again is the super-satisfactory services they had provided us on the day before, definitely worth AAA. (Too bad, there wasn't any raw beef found in the foods anymore)
