Birthday Party

We are not enthusiastic in hosting any function, not even to host for a small party.

But this year, son wanted a birthday party be held outside the "house". He got some sensible reasons for that, so he got it. Furthermore, it's CNY time, would be fun to make a party for the family members who came home for celebration.

Instead of fast food restaurant, we picked Kampar Club, for it provides a super spacious space for everyone to move around. Boy, though I have lived in Kampar for nearly 20 years, this is the 1st time I set my feet in there. Frankly speaking, there is nothing too fascinated about the place, but satisfied my curiosity at last.

Before meal time was started, most of the kids splashed in the pool. Luckily the water was warm enough even after a heavy downpour at that evening. Looking all the fun they have, I felt regret for not bringing my swim suit here.

Dinner was buffet style, in open air. Gosh, luckily the rain had stopped.

One of the big reasons we don't like to host for any party is : as a polite host, we have the obligation to socialize with all of the guests that we invite. Luckily, all of the guests that we've invited on that night are family members and close friends, so less pressure.

We had strictly restricted the guest list to family members only. Told my in-laws not to invite any of their relatives or friends though they were in fact, started to do so. Guess they must be surprised to see a non-family members here. Well, except you, my dear friend. Thanks for coming all the way from Ipoh to attend our humble party. It's our honor.

Vincent was happy that he finally had a birthday party he can call for his own. You happy, I happy, son.

As usual, birthday cake is the center of attraction for every kids.

As usual, daddy is the one who cut the cake, and mommy is the one who hold the camera.

Happy Birthday son. One year older, one year wiser, OK.

Thanks for coming home early this year, sis, to attend the party. We appreciate it.

You girls too.

And every guests who appear in the photos below too...Thank you very much.

Karaoke session. At first, I thought nobody would want to go up the stage and sing...

Grandpa was the one who started it.

After they saw grandpa's live demonstration, the kids aware what kind of fun game it was in front of them. Since then, they couldn't wait to grab the only microphone and sing aloud...Daddy had to stand there to keep the discipline.

You sing a Chinese New Year song here.

You sang quite some songs that night, fun huh?

SY, this boy can be a superstar one day. He really got that charm.

I think Hang-Hang sang a buddhist song here. Incredible!

You abandon the catchy kid's song but go for the adult's song, i.e. Avril's : HEY HEY YOU YOU, and Sarah Brigthman's : Phantom of the Opera. Boy, daddy and I laughed till the tears also came out.

Out of every one's expectation, Jason sang national theme "Negaraku". Boy, your auntie had forgot the lyrics 7788 already. Good job! We are so proud of you.

What? You again. Alak...story-telling this time.

It's very amused to see the kid's performance. Very entertaining, very creative too.

Thanks for the sporting kids. They had made the adults 'high' too. See uncle dashed to the stage and sang several songs. Not bad.

Lovely scene. You got a very strong daddy here, Wilson.

We feel really honored to be the ONLY non-family guests for the party. It's something nice and different from the CNY routine. Thanks for inviting us, really. We enjoyed ourselves.
